WHEN ON ADVENTURE

  • When on a trip to Croatia, we are all very welcomed guests. And it is very important to remind ourselves that while the locations we visit are stunning and incredible, we like to keep any ecological disturbance to a minimum, whereby keeping to designated footpaths or signed trails and always avoid damaging the native flora.

  • We strive to Protect the Environment so that future guests can enjoy it as well – its flora, fauna and landmarks in particular. And yes, you’d be surprised at how many folks don’t even think about this. Crazy but true.

  • Respect local customs, religions and traditions. Adhere to local dress codes and remember, we are welcomed guests and we should act as though we are at a friends house.

  • Do a little research about the various destinations you’ll be visiting. Perhaps try learning a few key words to speak in the native Croatian language, as it will be both respectful and met with great appreciation. H’vala = Thank You. Molim = Please, Da = Yes, Ne = No, Dobar Dan = Good day/Hello. We’ll share many more with you in your welcome packet once you’ve booked with us, so don’t worry, we’ll have you conversing like a local in no time. :)) But do not worry, as everywhere we visit, everyone will speak english, as it’s a global language.

  • If you’re a professional photographer traveling to Croatia, which we accommodate many, please take photographs of locals and places of religious/historical significance when obtaining their permission first if they are prominent in your picture.

  • Keep your promises! Send copies of photos to local people if this is what you have said you will do. The culture in Croatia is very pure and if you say you’ll do something, then it is expected that you’ll do it.

  • Try to buy local products such as food, gifts and souvenirs, so your money directly benefits the local community. With the growth of tourism in Croatia in the past decades, not every local business or community benefits from the massive influx of tourism dollars, so we always try to share our hard earned dollars with those that it will benefit directly.

  • We try to minimize our pollution, and we always carry out any rubbish we bring with us- if any.

  • Re-cycle and always try to do something nice that’ll benefit the local communities we have visited.

Local providers

Our transport and sometimes accommodations will often be, whenever possible, with smaller private villas. Many of our family or friendly relationships with these local providers go back many years and they count on tourism business like ours. The local providers appreciate our on-going commitment to their livelihoods and we look forward to sharing with them too. Knowing that tourism is an important source of income for the regions, our patronage demonstrates our active commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism. All of our Croatian relationship partners are informed of our travel policies and they too align with our beliefs of responsible tourism as well.

OUR commitMENT

  • Protecting the environment, its flora, fauna and landscapes always
